INTACCT TO DEBUT IN-MEMORY DATABASE Featured

Aaron Harris, Intacct Intacct is preparing to utilize an in-memory database for its cloud products, starting with an analytics application. At Intacct's recent Advantage conference, chief technology officer Aaron Harris said a limited release will be released early next year. As to when such products will be available, Harris said, "It's hard to say when that broad deployment will happen".

However, he would like to see it deployed in the first half of 2017. At the conference, Intacct demonstrated a analytics application running on top of in-memory database. Harris said the system can age 1 million customer invoices in four seconds and analyze 20 million sales orders in 45 seconds. The database and analytics tool will be built and deployed together. Asked if such products will be more expensive, he replied, "I can't say there won't be an additional charge. It will be much more affordable than if they were to attempt to try this project on their own."
