While customers sign up for the new application with Sage, Kaas said that resellers get 25 percent of the fees Sage collects during the lifetime of the client. That percentage applies to all revenue—software, hardware and infrastructure services. Kaas said Sage has already seen good adoption of the Accpac Online system and is finding interest from MAS prospects. Sage is also making SQL Server available to all customers. The Microsoft database engine was brought to market for new MAS customers about 10 months ago, but can now be purchased by the installed base.
