But perhaps the more important thing is figuring out the attitude of new CEO Steve Murphy towards the company's channels. In a prepared statement, Murphy said, "We are delighted to offer businesses worldwide a diverse community of partners that can be leveraged to stay ahead of the competition." That sounds promising for the channel and Murphy has been meeting people. Among the other honors given, the International Partner of the Year award went to Hong Kong-based Data World Solutions. In the Americas, Cre8tive Technology & Design was chosen Partner of the Year for the United Stats with Six S taking the honors in Canada. Comtec Solutions won the Marketing Excellence Award with that company's Colleen McDermott receiving the Sales Excellence award for the United States. ASG Tek was named Rookie of the Year. Sales Excellence Awards were also given to Ray Buchanan of Six S Partners and Jose Ivan Gonzalez Vidal of Bythewave SaS. Bythewave was the top partner for Latin America.
