Previously, he was with Baker Tilly Digital from November 2022 through January 2024 where he was executive director alliances. Before that, he spent almost nine years with Sage from December 2012 through October 2011 and was a director in partner and alliance management from January 2017 until he left with the spin out of the former Sage Payroll Services, which was renamed as Paya in January 2018. Phelan worked at Paya through November 2022 and was VP of partner strategy and sales from October 2021 through his departure. Paya was acquired by Nuvei in February 2023.
