The deal includes $69 million cash and a three-year earnout of $76 million in cash and $35 million in Vertex shares. Ecosio describes its products as “EDI as a service” and e-invoicing the meets "international e-invoicing requirements and Peppol connectivity.” At the same time, Vertex reported income of $5.2 million for the second quarter ended June 30, compared to net loss of $6.9 million a year. Revenue for the most recently ended period was $161.1 million, an increase of 15.3 percent from $139.7 million a year ago. Software subscription revenue for the most recently ended period was $136.4 million, up 15.8 percent from $117.8 million in last year’s corresponding period. Cloud revenue reached $66.3 million, an increase of 29.6 percent from $51.2 million a year ago.
