RANDOM THOUGHTS: AFTER REBOOTING
After rebooting my browser, router and computer to resolve a Wi-Fi problem, I commented how nice it would be if rebooting would help my daughter’s performance. ... With small Butler University having come close to winning the national college basketball championship, Indiana University, whose own program has fallen on hard times, is considering a hostile takeover of Butler. It would fire the I.U. team and sell off most of Butler's assets to support the program.
... There's a new Saturday morning cartoon-horror show in the works called "Heckle and Jeckle and Mr. Hyde" in which, between fun-filled antics, the sassy crows become flesh-devouring monsters. ... In an upcoming movie in the Harry Potter series, the messenger owls become disoriented and start leaving dead mice, instead of letters, at the students’ dining tables. ... I just got Rosetta Stone’s Klingon Level 2. It has useful phrases such as how to count from one to 10 and ephithets to hurl at Romulans. There is also a DVD accompanying the audio which highlights tourist attractions on Klingon, along with cultural insights including the dipilatory craze sweeping the planet.
