RANDOM THOUGHTS: THE SEC

The SEC has a regulatory category on its website called "Interim Final Temporary Rules". And then there’s "Interim Temporary Final Rules", "Final Temporary Interim Rules" and finally "Crap We Thought We’d Put Here to See If People Are Paying Attention" … There’s a new discounted brand of terrorists called Al –iQea. Instead of expecting 40 virgins each in heaven, they believe that by injuring themselves slightly they will be rewarded with 10 or 12 nice looking, but somewhat used women, and will spend eternity basking in comfort, although they’ll have to put the furniture together themselves.
… A recent new announcement of "Playboy for the Blind" turned out to be a big disappointment. I thought it might be an innovative new touch-screen device. But it turned out it's just somebody reading articles over the radio and describing the pictures. However, there is hope with the new pole dancing centers for the blind. … White Castle, the late night haven for the drunk and stoned, has started offering cappuccino. There’s also a widely anticipated new line of White Castle sushi that’s largely gold fish and colored tofu with a few crayfish passed off as "Petite Lobsters" … It was disconcerting to hear of the uproar made about the line of dolls modelled on Dexter, the central character of the TV show and Robin Hood of serial killers (he kills only other serial killers). Who could pass up the three Dexter action figures (available on Amazon)? I was afraid for a moment that the outrage would block other product launches, including the Franklin Mint’s American Serial Killers, a life-like set of figures that are sure to charm hearts and gain value and comes a patriotic logo, and the McDonald’s "Saw" collection. There is some worry that the latter’s toy leg shackles and hacksaws will be pulled because they represent a choking threat. However, the lovely new Barbie "Saw House" has been designed with safety in mind.
