I had a cousin who was several times removed, usually at the request of a bar owner or relatives. ... I'm looking forward to the next series. "I don't always drink when I'm on unemployment, but when I do, I drink Thunderbird wine." News items say the actor who portrays the suave beer drinker, Jonathan Goldsmith, is being sued by his agency for allegedly not paying 10 percent of his $1-million-yearly salary. Goldsmith is countersuing. Hey, most of us would settle for being second- or third-most interesting for that amount and gladly share the percentage. In his last commercial, El Interesante is traveling to Mars in a futile attempt to deliver beer to Matt Damon. ... Nestle USA is voluntarily recalling some DiGiorno, Lean Cuisine and Stouffer's meals, after small pieces of glass were reportedly found in them. The glass was believed to be related to the spinach found in all the affected meals. That may explain the recent discover of an early cartoon: "I'm Pop-eye the Sailor man .... I eat my Spinach ... what is this shiny stuff in here? ... Oh, no, ahhhh." ... Another news item reports British funeral homes enjoyed record profits in 2015 because of a sharp increase in deaths. It was probably people who just could not take reading any more tabloid items about the royals.
