Another move completed on New Year’s Day was the departure of Tayloe Stansbury as chief technology officer after nine years. He was replaced by Marianna Tessel, SVP and chief product development officer for Intuit’s Small Business and Self-Employed Group. Goodarzi was previously EVP of the Small Business Group from May 2016 and was replaced by Alex Chriss, previously SVP and chief product officer in that group from January 2017. Another major position which opened up last year came when Dan Wernikoff, EVP of the Consumer Tax Group, was moved into a strategic planning role during the summer and exited the company in October, after Goodarzi’s new role was revealed. Greg Johnson moved into the tax leadership role in August. Intuit also changed CFOs in 2018 when Michelle Clatterbuck was named to the job in February following the retirement of Neil Williams.
