“There is so little meat to it,” says Mario Nowogrodzki, owner of Mendelson Consulting, a QuickBooks reseller based in Pembroke Pines, Fla. In addition, Nowogrodzki said features of the Enterprise Suite pale in comparison to those of QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, the company's desktop mid-market product. Intuit also appears to have given resellers virtually no advanced notice of the product before announcing it to the public. Another reseller deferred comment until about to hear a briefing scheduled a week after the company issued a press release. Nowogrodzki said the product had the same database and menu system as QuickBooks Online Advanced offering “just different branding.” He said the only new features of significant involved multi-company functionality. Nowogrodzki said Intuit also provided to information about pricing and that what Intuit is offering is a negotiated price, putting resellers in direct competition with Intuit sales saps. Meanwhile, he says Intuit continues to reduce benefits to the channel, removing most SKUs that they can sell and providing little nor no margin. Nowogrodzki said the biggest financial injury is Intuit’s plans to take away the money resellers have earned on renewals of QBES. The amount of compensation for renewals will be cut by half in March and then cut again until by the third year, “It becomes a zero payout,” he said. Nowogrodzki said the firm receives more than $1 million from that threatened revenue stream. “We are looking at other sources of revenue,” he noted.
