DESHAIES DEPARTS FROM SAGE Featured

Don Deshaies, SageDon Deshaies, VP of channel management, has left Sage North America. Deshaies joined Sage in February 2014 and left to pursue a new opportunity, according to a statement from the company. Since the statement says opportunity, not opportunities, I concluded he is going to another job. (Well, thinking now maybe not). While Sage searches for a replacement, Joo Sohn, director of partner programs will take care of the channel.

As part of the interviewing process for a story to accompany our Top 100 report I was trying to get an interview with Deshaies and was given Sohn instead. Guess that explains that. Before joining Sage, Deshaies was managing partner for Live! Consulting Global from November 2009 through 2013. Prior to that, he had a nearly 14-year career with Microsoft and was director of Dynamics Partner Strategy for the Worldwide Partner Group in 2008 and 2009 and ran the Microsoft U.S Software Asset Management Program from 2004 through 2008. Also leaving Sage are channel managers Roger Demers and Rick Burtt, also Microsoft alums, Demers is leaving for WhenIwork, a company backed by a Doug Burgum investment firm. Burt has not responded to my inquiry.
